William Buckley, A Timeline
William Buckley was one of Victoria's first settlers. He arrive at Port Phillip Heads, an unexplored part of the south-east coast of what then was called New Holland, on 9th October 1803. Convicted of some henious crime, he was sentenced to transportation for life. As such he unwittingly became a member of the first team sent to this part of the world by England to settle and claim as their own. Follw link to enter>>
