Wild Sound

Nicholas recording coastal environment soundsWhile working for the ABC as the Natural Sound Archivist I was able to use field recording equipement on the weekends to capture the sounds of the coast. The close perspective sound of waves lapping on rocks or a beautiful stereo dawn chorus were always valuable additions to an already extensive Natural History sound library.

My brother John and myself often enjoy going bush and recording its sounds. Below is a collection of recordings we've made of the local bird song. Click the play buttons to listen.
